We're Heere!

I can now say that I drove all the way to New York by myself! We left early Sunday morning from Colorado and got to New York 10pm eastern time. So really really good time! And that was with hitting horrible rain, sleet and snow in Illinois, Ohio and Pennsylvania. The girls have been having a lot of fun playing (and fighting) with their cousins. We got up 4 in the morning to catch a train to the thanksgiving day parade and freeze our butts off to see my cousin march in the parade. The wait for the parade to start sucked because all the kids were whining and obviously cold but as soon as we started seeing things their faces were too cute for words. They were very excited and animated. My cousin Ariel was at the end of her row and like four feet from where we were standing. It was awesome!! First time ever Copiague High School band in the Macy's day parade. Though on the broadcast they said it like Copag. Oh well! We had a great time and no I probably would never bring them again. I'm getting way too old for this!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Our Very Long Trip to New York!!

Hello all! We left Utah on Friday the 21st and made really good time. We got to Colorado in the afternoon and spent a couple of days there with my aunt Shelly, uncle Frank and young cousins Terren and Jayden. We got to take the kids to the park and saw Terren's play "Wagon Wheels West" twice!! He was very cute in it and the girls have been singing the soundtrack to it since!

They really loved death trap 1

As you can see, there was the perfect weather and lots of kids who wanted to ride the death traps! Just kidding, it was great because my cousins are really more like the girls' cousins since they're closer in age. Well on to NY we go!!

First Snow

So I'm already behind on blogging...Oh well!
Last wednesday we woke up to our first snowfall.
Ben got a couple of pictures before taking the girls to school!
Mailee looks really excited, doesn't she!
It melted the next day and hasn't really snowed since but it's been really cold!

Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween everybody! The girls of course had lots of fun dressing up and going trick or treating.
Savannah was a witch, Isabella a ninja and Mailee a pirate! Fits their personalities doesn't it!

We went trunk or treating with our ward...
and trick or treating at Daddy's work!
No that's not Ben's costume, just uniform!

And of course some loot in the neighborhood! They had lots of fun! We hope you all had a great Halloween!

Harvest Time

Hi Everyone! As most of you read we have a garden way in the back there (behind the flamingo).
After the weather got really cold, we decided to pick what we can and maybe get some good eats out of it. Like I said before, I won't be doing the work so here's my minions hard at work taking stems off carrots and husking corn.
They had a lot of fun doing it and we had enough vegetables to keep four gallon size ziplock bags for ourselves, two bags for the siblings down in Orem and that purple tub that you see in the picture about half full that we gave to whoever wanted in our ward. Next year we'll harvest better. We were just a little late with all the moving and stuff!

Our New Digs

So...our new digs has a huge flaw. I don't know if any of you remember our "flooding" problem in Spokane at that house. Well it looks like this house has it too but twice as bad. I won't show a picture of it since it'll make you sick. It must be our bad luck or something because it seems that in 3 out of the 5 states Ben and I have lived in, we've had this disgusting flooding problem. Wish us luck that it can get fixed and never happen again!!

Our New Digs

You saw the outside, now here's the innerds of the house.
This was the kitchen before I painted. As you can see, they really liked pink!

The bathroom has three different colors in it. Purple tub, baby blue walls and light blue tiles. Very interesting, don't you think.

Here's the new version of the kitchen looking into the den.
I like it much better.

Other side of it looking into the dining room.

The dining room. On the side you see all these built ins that actually are more useful than I thought.

The living room. Our couch doesn't fit in one piece but it works this way. The fireplace is a pellet one.

This unfortunately is a bedroom. This is the bigger one and it's still pretty small. We do have all three girls in here but we're trying to come up with a better solution than this.

This is our room. No...we can't fit more furniture than this. Oh well, it works for now.

This is our den/office area. We're going to have it as a reading area for the kids.

And again.

Last but not least, the little wall going into the kitchen. I'm starting to get family pictures up.

So here was our house. I hope you enjoyed. We'll see how this blogging thing goes, I'll let you all know when we've unpacked the last box. I'm predicting sometime before we decide to move again! ;)

Our New Digs

So this is our house. The yard is nice and the kids are having fun with it.
This is the two car garage. This is the main back yard. There's a lot of brick and rock work that we're toying with taking out and just have grass since it'll be the main play area.
This is the future guest house/maybe studio to rent out. It has a patio area with a outdoor fireplace. We're looking forward to using this area for entertaining.
Back behind the vined fence is the rest of the back yard. About another 60 feet of it. Right now it's a dying garden and a lot of dead grass. It'll need tender loving care. Obviously not by me, Ben will be in charge of this.

To Be Continued...
